The Softwarepark Hagenberg
The JKU International Master's Program Informatics at the Softwarepark Hagenberg is a special version of the JKU Master's Study Informatics located in the JKU Softwarepark Hagenberg. The JKU Softwarepark is an informatics science and research park unrivaled in central Europe.
Founded by Prof. Bruno Buchberger in 1989, the Softwarepark Hagenberg is currently home to more than 2,400 students, employees and inhabitants working in high-tech companies, as researchers, or as students. Five computer science research institutes of the Johannes Kepler University Linz can be found in the Softwarepark as well as the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, and the Software Competence Center Hagenberg.
The Softwarepark Hagenberg hosts more than 60 companies (with about 1000 employees), 11 research institues and 20 study branches that contribute to this unique blend of science and industry. It also hosts the International Incubator Hagenberg which provides academic and financial support for innovative start-up companies in the ICT sector.
